  1. If you can send me the chords for all these songs, I will be happy. thanks……I suppose that you see my e-mail. 😉

    • Hey Roger,

I’m a little surprised about this comment. An email went to everyone on the mailing list. Have you joined one of the mailing lists? If not, please read the text at the top of this page and join the one that’s relevant to you.

      Thank you,

  2. Lorraine,
I believe Roger is referring to the ’email’: “This is the last email we’ll send to everyone. It’s inefficient to keep in touch with everyone. This is the last email you’ll receive from us unless you click one of the options…”

    • Hey Jeff, fair point. FYI, many people don’t want to hear about Wednesdays at all – they live overseas and are not interested in the London happenings. Lots of people unsubscribed, so, to save spamming people, I’m giving people the choice to opt in or out. Yourself, Roger and everyone else are welcome to opt in or out, depending which future emails you wish to receive. Spam free Ukulele Wednesdays. 😉

  3. Visited Royal George last night with 3 musical mates and shared a uke. We will be regular participants. Completely brilliant idea. Keep up the good work. Baz.

  4. I used to love attending Uke Wednesday’s at the Albany. Have recently moved to Wellington, New Zealand. I’ve downloaded the new song book and really love it! Practicing solo for down.

  5. Lads & Lassies, First off congratulations on a great site and second sincere thanks for the massive song-book. At last people who understand that smaller (a less image-heavy songbook) is better, IMHO of course!
I started out on the uke two weeks ago and with largish paws its been a bit of a struggle. My first job was alternative shapes for E & D chords.
I’m based in Ireland but know London well, so I guess it’s OK just to drop in unannounced.

    Thanks again, Pat.

  6. Just noticed u now have audio clips aswell quality , males it so much easier to practice loving the new songbook although it defantly could do with some smiths songs

  7. This is a super facility. It’s a drag that I don’t live in London, otherwise I’d be a regular attendant at your sessions. Do you have the means to supply chords for certain numbers? I’ve looked everywhere for “Kiss of love” as performed by Sam Brown but with no success.

  10. It’s been a few years since I’ve been in London (or anywhere in the UK for that matter) so not much likelihood of me getting to a jam session, but THANK YOU for allowing outside folks to download the songbook. I’m just learning to play my ukulele, and I super appreciate how clear and nicely lined up the chords and lyrics are. If/when I get to visit London again I will be sure to look you up and hopefully make it to a session! Thanks again for spreading some ukulele love 🙂

  11. Thank you! It’s so wonderful to have so many songs that aren’t just guitar tabs with ukulele chord charts pasted on them.

  12. Hello. I am having downloading the songbook. I downloaded the Christmas songbook OK. I am new to your site and think that the songbook is fantastic for a newbie like myself. Thank you for having this opportunity to get the chords and lyrics. Fantastic.

  13. A group of friends have started a uke group and we have met three times and we are hooked. I just found your Ukulele song books. Thank you soo much for sharing it with everyone! I have a question : How do you know what strumming pattern to use? Do you use the same pattern for all the songs? Thanks, Joyce

  14. How do you request new songs to be added? Also last time I came new songs were played but I can’t see them on the songbook here…? Maybe I’m being dumb haha

  17. Song book is excellent except for lack of The Smiths dirges. Anyone else in Muscat want to get together to murder some of the song book contents?

  18. Kia ora from kiwiland. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful songbook and playlists things with us all. Just learning so this is fantastic. Thank you.

  19. Hi Lorain,
We are working to establish a monthly, open Ukulele Jam in Kempten, Bavaria, will you allow me to print some papercopies of the songbook to use it out here?
I don’t want to sell it, I only ask our members to cover the cost of the copies.
    Are you OK with it?
    Cheers Sven

    • Hi,
Feel free to download the book and do what you want with it, but please do not remove the Ukulele Wednesdays title page or logos.
The book is free for all, so we suggest not charging for it at all, even the printing costs.

  20. This commentary is for the songbook v3: Thank you very much for the great songbook! We like it so much that we have produced it for our own uke club in small numbers at a printing company (because it is much cheaper than a copy shop). The company had however a little problems, because not all fonts are embedded in the pdf file. Helvetica appears only on pages 18 and 183, but is not embedded in the PDF. So we had to leave these two pages out of print. You can check it yourself, for example with this online tool: Perhaps you could consider this with v4 …

Another small note for all those who want to have the PDF songbook printed at a print company. You have to enlarge the high and wide of the pdf pages. This is very easy with this tool: … simply ask for the technical requirements of your printing company … thanks again for your great work!

  23. Where do you take suggestions for new songs for the next version of the songbook? Don’t Speak by No Doubt would be amazing!! We were at Thamesis Dock last week and had a blast!

  24. Hi. Having a quick look at the songbook to learn some chords before coming to a session and I think the Am/C chord is wrong on Don’t You Want Me Baby on page 70. I think it should be 2003 (ACEC) not 2004 (ACEC#)

  25. Hello London! I live in Colorado, USA and recently went to England for the first time. In the USA I play in a Sunday Ukulele group, and we use your songbook. I took my soprano to England in my backpack and made my way to the Royal George on Sept. 18, and played with your friendly and energetic group! Thank you to Anna who motioned me over to an empty chair next to her, and the friendly gentleman on my right. It was so fund to play with your group, and my group was impressed that I did so! If any of you make it to Longmont, CO, look us up and join LOCO Ukulele, . Thank you for the good time!! -Laura O’Connor

    • Hi Laura,
Brilliant. Thank you for coming and for using our songbook. There’s a new edition out soon – have a look at the “latest news” section and you’ll be able to see a draft version you can download.
